I'm Steve Holmes, the creator of BizyClock and the founder of Embedded Iron Inc., a software company that has been in business since 2011.

BizyClock came out of a problem I kept hitting in my own company: getting people to fill out their timesheets is like pulling teeth. There's always an excuse — too busy, forgot, “I'll do it Friday” — and somehow it always lands on the owner to chase it all down before payroll.

So I built the time clock I wanted to use: clock in from a phone, from the field, or from a shared kiosk in seconds, and let the reports and payroll math take care of themselves. I use BizyClock to run my own team, which means every feature has to survive contact with a real payroll run before it ships.

Everything I write here comes from that seat — building the product, running the business, and doing the payroll myself.
