Delete Your BizyClock Account

Last updated: April 23, 2026

1. How to Request Account Deletion

BizyClock (operated by Embedded Iron Inc.) provides account deletion on request. The path differs depending on whether you own the account or are an employee on a company account.

Account owners and administrators (including Solo users)

If you own your BizyClock account, the canonical way to reach this page is from inside the web app: sign in to bizyclock.com, go to Settings → Account, and click “Request Account Deletion.” The steps below complete the request.

To permanently delete your account and the associated data, email us from the address registered to your BizyClock account:

Email: support@embeddediron.com

Subject: Delete my BizyClock account

Include in the body:

  • The email address your BizyClock account is registered under
  • The company / organisation name on the account (if you are the owner)
  • A confirmation that you want the account and its data deleted

We will verify the request by replying to the registered email address and confirming the deletion before proceeding. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Employees on a Teams or Business account

If your access to BizyClock was set up by your employer, your user record is managed by the account owner — not by you. The settings page that owners use to request deletion is not available to employee accounts.

To be removed from the system, contact your account administrator. They can remove your access from Settings → Employees in the web app. If you cannot reach your administrator, email support@embeddediron.com and we will help connect you with them.

2. Data That Is Deleted

Within 30 days of a verified request, we delete the following data associated with your account:

  • User profile (name, email, phone, password hash, profile settings)
  • Organisation / company record (when the account owner deletes the tenant)
  • Time entries, clock-in / clock-out records, and timesheets
  • Jobs, clients, departments, and work codes you created
  • GPS location history associated with clock-in / clock-out events
  • Uploaded files (photos, receipts, and other attachments)
  • Push-notification device tokens and saved login sessions
  • Stored payment method references held by BizyClock (the authoritative records live with Stripe; see “Third-party retention” below)

3. Data That Is Retained

Some records are retained after account deletion because we are legally or operationally required to keep them. These records are not used for product functionality and are not shared with third parties beyond what is required for compliance:

  • Billing and tax records — invoices, payment receipts, and Stripe transaction identifiers are retained for 7 years to satisfy tax, accounting, and anti-fraud obligations.
  • Security audit logs — authentication events and administrative actions are retained for 12 months for security investigation and incident response.
  • Anonymised / aggregated data — service-wide usage metrics that cannot be traced back to an individual may be retained indefinitely.
  • Records required by law — data we are legally required to preserve (for example, due to a court order or ongoing legal matter) until the obligation lapses.

4. Third-Party Retention

BizyClock uses third-party processors to operate the service. When you delete your BizyClock account, data that resides with those processors is handled under their own retention policies:

  • Stripe — processes subscription payments. Stripe retains transaction and payment-method records per its own policy; contact Stripe directly to exercise rights over data they hold.
  • Resend — delivers transactional email (verification codes, password resets, invoices). Resend retains message metadata per its own policy.
  • Cloud infrastructure providers — encrypted backups may contain residual data for up to 35 days before the backup rotation overwrites it.

5. Cancel Your Subscription First

If you have an active paid subscription, cancel it before requesting deletion so you are not billed for a renewal after the account is gone. You can cancel from Settings → Billing inside the app, or by replying to any invoice email from Stripe. Deleting the account does not by itself cancel the Stripe subscription.

6. Questions

If you have any question about deletion, data retention, or your privacy rights, reach out to support@embeddediron.com. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture of how we handle your data.
